Cert IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking)

The current minimum educational requirements for the grant of a Licence to operate as a Mortgage Broker or Finance Broker in West Australia, is the successful completion of:

- The Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking); and
- The W.A. Supplement (approved W.A. course content provided by an RTO).

 Walker and Miller's W.A. Supplement course is available as either:

o                  A 1-day workshop (minimum numbers required); or

o                  Distance learning (correspondence study with hard copy of course material express mailed); or

o                  Online e-learning (at home study via online course platform).

This comprehensive course complies with the DOCEP competency guidelines and follows the structure below:

o                  INTRODUCTION

o                  MODULE 1 - LEGISLATION (INCL. TRUST ACCOUNTS)

o                  MODULE 2 - INTRODUCTION TO LAW

o                  MODULE 3 - UNDERSTANDING AND INTERPRETING VALUATIONS

o                  APPENDIX - GLOSSARY OF TERMS


The Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking) and the approved WA Supplement course are required for the grant of a Licence.  Trainees will complete their qualifying exam for the these courses during the workshop.
